Quentin joined Birketts in 2012 and is a Partner in our Corporate Finance Team.

He specialises in corporate and commercial work, including sales and acquisitions, company formation and restructuring, joint ventures, venture capital and business angel financing, share options, licensing and outsourcing agreements. Quentin has considerable experience working for technology sector clients. He has assisted numerous clients on their journey from formation, through angel and VC funding, commercial development and on to exit.


Quentin is dual qualified, in New Zealand and England, and previously worked for one of New Zealand's largest law firms. He holds a BA, LLB, LLM (Hons) all from Victoria University, Wellington, NZ and a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from the University of Bristol.

Highlights for Adrian Seagers included acting for the owners of Ductclean (UK) Limited in its £10m sale to Marlowe plc. The practice also counts Ultrasoc Ltd, Veterinary Pathology Group and Scientific Digital Imaging Plc among its clients.

Birketts LLP acts for a broad range of UK and international clients, from start-ups to multinationals, in complex IT matters. Practice head and key lawyer Quentin Golder specialises in commercial and technology work, including venture capital and business angel financing, IP and IT development agreements, licensing arrangements, joint ventures, distribution and reseller arrangements. He assists internal security software supplier BullGuard Limited with all commercial and IT matters around the world, which includes software development and licensing agreements, reseller and agency agreements, and data protection advice. Golder calls on the skills of corporate partners Adrian Possener and Mark Gipson to advise on corporate structures, data protection, freedom of information and IT matters, as well as franchise, agency and distribution agreements. Senior associate and rising star Kitty Rosser advises on all aspects of data protection compliance including subject access requests, marketing strategies and the handling of data breaches. She also negotiates and drafts IT contracts.
