Nora Minassian leads Thomson Geer’s Recoveries team.

She acts for major Australian Banks and Lenders in financial services recovery matters. With more than 10 years' experience, Nora has practised extensively in all areas of contentious and contested security enforcement and loan recovery, including across both retail and commercial sectors.

With a thorough understanding of the industry, regulatory environment, and pressures facing Banks and lenders, Nora achieves the best commercial and legal outcomes for her clients, including through alternative dispute resolution channels.

Kemp Strang has particular expertise in banking litigation and security enforcement, shareholder and partner disputes, as well as in the property, construction, and planning and environment sectors. It is acting for Australian Financial Planning Group in enforcing its rights in relation to misuse of confidential information and breaches of restraints by a former employee. The seven-partner practice, led by Peter Harrison, Glen Cussen and Sarina Roppolo, has been strengthened by Nora Minassian from Dentons. Following its acquisition of Kemp Strang in October 2018, Thomson Geer's team now includes Peter Harrison, who advised PPB Advisory as liquidators of DCM Green on its administration and creditors' voluntary winding up following its collapse, and assisted Rabobank Australia as secured creditor of a group of corporate entities with several receiverships and voluntary administrations. Nora Minassian joined from Dentons; Jim Graham and Kevin Pringle retired; Alex Linden joined Henry William Lawyers; Matthew Pike left to HWL Ebsworth; Glen Cussen has launched Cussen Advisory and Sarina Roppolo is now a partner at Kardos Scanlan.
