Position
Michael Wood is a specialist in environmental law, with a particular focus on non-contentious matters. He advises large corporates, SMEs, local authorities, local economic development companies and other agencies. Recent work has included major transactional work for clients such as Greencore and CVC Capital Partners Ltd. He has advised Clyde Gateway Urban Regeneration Company who are working on the site assembly acquisitions relating to the Commonwealth Games site in Glasgow. He has also had significant involvement in the renewable energy sector this year including advising a major funder on a biomass project, and developer work for on and off shore wind farms. He is an experienced commercial property lawyer with a recognised specialism in restructuring and insolvency work, in addition to property finance. He has been heavily involved recently in the Kenmore administration, acting for the administrators, Grant Thornton. He also advises clients on all aspects of buying, selling, letting and developing commercial property as well as advising and co-ordinating the property aspects of cross-border corporate mergers and acquisitions.
