Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) today announced Nick Maltby as partner, and Head of Major Projects (Commercial). Maltby joins from DLA Piper, where he was a partner in the Finance & Projects Group. He will work within BDB’s market-leading Major Projects Group and will focus on the commercial aspects of major projects – procurement, contracting and funding, including PPPs & PFIs.

Bircham Dyson Bell recorded another first for the legal sector when it won the Supplier of the Year Award at the Light Rail Awards 2009. Leaders in the major projects sector, Bircham Dyson Bell won the award for their lead role in advising Nottingham City Council on their £400m plans to extend their Nottingham Express Transit tram system and on the development and implementation of their innovative funding proposal for the extensions – the Workplace Parking Levy (WPL).
