ZEUS Law Associates was established in 2005 under the leadership of Rohit Tandon, Vivek Kohli and Sunil Tyagi. ZEUS Law Associates is a full-service corporate commercial law firm engaged in sectors as diverse as real estate and infrastructure, telecom, power, FMCG, education, agro-based industries, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and fertilisers, entertainment and media, leisure and hospitality, tourism, wineries and the tobacco industry, to name a few.

ZEUS is the preferred legal partner of CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India), India’s apex and largest body of organised real estate developers. The firm’s vastly experienced real estate and infrastructure team advises participants from India and abroad in the domestic market, be it developers, investors, equity funds, construction houses or financial institutions. The team undertakes transactions covering the entire life cycle of infrastructure projects, from initial acquisition to permissions and approvals, due diligence, leasing and sales, joint venturing with various entities involved, and exit strategies.

The firm’s litigation practice extends from the Supreme Court to various Indian High Courts and tribunals, while its ADR practice handles both domestic and international arbitration, mediation and conciliation proceedings

The corporate law group focuses on joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, stock purchase and asset purchase transactions, establishment and maintenance of wholly-owned subsidiaries in India, contract, company and foreign exchange laws, and closure and liquidation of companies. With its strong structuring and contract drafting skills, the commercial law group takes care of clients’ day-to-day legal and business needs specific to their industry sector, while accommodating the cross-border nature of many such transactions.

ZEUS has a dedicated regulatory practice group that specialises in matters pertaining to securities laws; competition law; electricity and telecom regulation and anti-dumping issues. The indirect tax group counsels companies on their indirect tax compliances and audits; customs, central excise, VAT, import trade control and the proposed Goods and Services Tax; as well as SVB/transfer pricing determinations. For conducting process and compliance audits and due diligence for companies, the firm’s audit group helps clients develop systemic checks and controls regarding operational issues.

Helping chart companies’ business strategies, ZEUS’s intellectual property team offers transactional advice and litigation regarding effective and timely enforcement of IPR.
