Areas of practice
Trade remedy and customs: as a pioneer since 1996 and setting up a strong working team with five partners and ten senior professionals in international trade practice, Guangsheng represented hundreds of multinational and Chinese clients in both inbound and outbound trade remedy cases, and has been listed in Band 1 for several years or Band 2 for more than ten years in this field.

Leading partners Hai Yan and Likai Li both worked in the Ministry of Commerce, and senior counsel Huiqing Cheng was a customs senior official. During his career as an initial official of the Bureau of Fair Trade in MOFCOM, Hai Yan was constructively involved in drafting MOFCOM anti-dumping and anti-subsidy rules, as well as WTO rules, and actively involved in many trade remedy investigations and reviews. The team has several members with CPAs who are capable of provide both legal and accounting advice in trade cases.

During 2016-2017, G&P has been representing the US Grain Council in a DDG case, and the European Starch Association in Potato Starch reviews. The firm was involved in a recent Australian case involving the largest paper producer in China. The firm also represented the largest four producers and eight exporters involved in dumping procedures in the US. The team successfully got separate rates for several SOEs in US anti-dumping procedures. They firm was involved in solar cell, tire and food additives cases, and helped many clients to maintain market shares in US, Brazil, India and EU. The team also provides high-quality advice on customs law.

Antitrust: since 2009, the lawyers of G&P have extensive experience and wide connections and have provided highly professional legal services for many multinational companies. Previously, G&P represented over 40 clients to make notifications and respond to investigations and litigations. Their recent industry-specific experience involves sectors like chemicals, construction materials, machinery, energy sources, autos, pharmaceuticals, consumable goods, and advertising among others.

Banking and insurance: G&P has provided multiple PRC and international banks, asset management companies and foreign financial institution with high-quality legal services.
