Position
Partner specialising in commercial and residential development and regeneration work, acting for commercial and residential developers as well as the public sector. He provides strategic advice on all forms of acquisitions and disposal, including: options and conditional contracts; overage/clawback provisions; leasehold development agreements; joint venture or partnering agreements; site assembly and pre-let disposals. In addition, Colin advises on: secured lending, acting for either lender or borrower on all types of secured lending transactions (including the completion of an £18m portfolio refinancing); the property aspects of corporate transactions, providing advice on property and environmental warranties, agreements for linked freehold and leasehold property transactions, liability under existing leases and drafting leasebacks; leasehold transactions for both commercial and public sector landlords and tenants, including transactions in respect of hotels, retail and industrial units, leisure centres, dental surgeries, schools and hospitals; the property aspects of all forms of PFI /PPP transactions, including those for schools, hospitals and leisure centres, and the provision of facilities for the emergency services, acting for the consortium bidder or the public sector.
