Business recovery, restructuring and insolvency.
Position
Partner and head of the business recovery, restructuring and insolvency team covering the firm’s offices in Bristol, London, Bath and Swindon. Over 15 years’ experience in advising on business recovery, restructuring and technical insolvency issues, insolvency disputes and internal corporate and partnership disputes, including fraud and asset recovery. His recent practice has been dominated by a number of instructions on duties of directors of near-insolvent or insolvent companies. These include pre-insolvency advice and/or claims against directors, including the defence of a multimillion-pound claim against directors for breach of duty and wrongful trading. Other instructions of particular interest have included advising on the re-organisation of substantial professional services business and a subsidiary of a LSE listed plc. He acts for businesses, their management, associated parties, lenders, creditors and insolvency practitioners throughout the country.
