Position
Works with several major developers in both the residential and commercial sector. Tina also acts as consortium solicitor for a number of large consortiums promoting land for development and joint ventures. She has acted for several further-education colleges relocating to new premises and other similar transactions in the education sector. Recent cases include: consortium solicitor for Felpham Consortium in respect of large residential site, which has recently been granted planning permission for 700 units and is now being sold for a sum in excess of £40m, and three other consortium deals for sites each being promoted for over 500 units.Acted for Canterbury College on redevelopment of campus and Worthing College on the contract for the sale of retail site to Asda Stores. Also acted for developer on development letting and funding of 86,400 square feet business unit on Business Park in West Sussex. Currently acting for Hastings College on £80m development project including relocation to two new sites. Specialist areas include: residential development, commercial development, land promotion, property transactions in not-for-profit sector.
Career
Trained in London; qualified 1981; has worked in both the Chichester and Horsham offices of Thomas Eggar LLP, building up expertise in development work; head of commercial property department in Chichester and lead the firm’s development group; partner Thomas Eggar LLP 1989.
