Position
Head of the structured asset finance group specialising in all aspects of shipping, energy, aviation and asset finance including sale and purchase, leasing, charterparties, lease purchase and conditional sale agreements, joint ventures and loan arrangements, project finance, oilfield development and offtake contracts; particular experience in PFI projects for equipment, including ships, financing aircraft for South America and all aspects of FPSO ownership, leasing and financing. Led the team advising the AWSR consortium on the Strategic Sealift (Ro Ro) PFI transaction with the MOD (winner of the 2003 Best MOD Project award). Nicola acted for long-standing client, the Dutch-listed SBM Offshore NV, on the $310m financing of the ‘Thunder Hawk’ drilling unit through a syndicate of banks led by ING Bank NV.
