Career

Peter has practised in finance law for 30 years and has acted for almost all of the institutional financiers doing business in Australia.

Peter was brought up in a family business and learned the importance of customer service and delivery.  Today, being enthusiastic, responsive and empathetic are the cornerstones of his professional life and drives his approach.

He is the relationship partner for many finance clients, particularly the banks and it is a role that he thoroughly enjoys.  The strength and longevity of many of these relationships is reflected by his counsel being sought not just for legal purposes, but on a trusted adviser basis.

In his 30 years of doing finance work, there is little that he has not applied himself to and experienced.  Equally, over a long career in finance, Peter’s experience acting for financiers has translated into a powerful resource for borrowers.

In recognition of his achievements, Peter was identified in a survey of Australian corporate general counsel as 109 of Australia’s best, published in The Australian newspaper.
