Stevens & Bolton LLP is a Guildford-based law firm with a national and international practice. Its single-office approach, close to London and all south-east transport hubs, ensures excellent communication and co-ordination of the firm’s resources, for the benefit of its clients. In 2009 Stevens & Bolton LLP was named ‘National/Regional Law Firm of the Year’ at the Legal Business Awards.

The firm: Clients include household-name PLCs and other major international groups, mid-tier businesses (whether quoted or owner-managed) and high-net-worth private clients. Client industry sectors and markets include, among others: banking, catering, construction, energy, facilities management, financial services, IT, logistics, outsourcing, pharmaceuticals, telecoms and transport.

Stevens & Bolton LLP has established relationships with overseas firms in key jurisdictions whose approach to service and quality is similar to its own.

The firm’s strategy is to be highly valued by its clients for: consistent high quality and service levels; relevant legal specialisms and sector knowledge; a down-to-earth and positive approach; and value for money.

Independently recommended in 21 specialist practice areas and with many other independent awards and quality marks, the firm has grown strongly in recent years – a mixture of organic growth and targeted senior hires of experienced legal talent. The firm enjoys long-term relationships with its clients, whose views help to shape the business.

The firm’s commitment to being a great place to work, and the resulting low turnover of partners and staff, are also central to its strategy – settled teams build better relationships.

The firm is committed to being a responsible business. It participates in a wide range of charity and community initiatives and has full regard to the importance of diversity and of minimising its impact on the environment.

Types of work undertaken: Stevens & Bolton LLP offers a wide range of specialist practice areas, as indicated to the left, combined with sector experience and strength in depth. Its aim is to be the number-one firm in the region in all principal practice areas.
