Position

Andy is partner and head of BLM's Catastrophic Injury Practice Group which comprises 100+ specialist lawyers throughout the UK and Ireland. Andy advises on cases of the highest value in all major insurance classes and specialises in defending personal injury claims of the utmost severity, with experience of all the major injury types including brain and spinal injury, amputations and fatal accidents. Andy has also been at the forefront of identifying and agreeing best practice with some of the leading claimant firms to support swifter resolution of catastrophic injury claims to the benefit of our clients and claimant.

Qualified Cartwrights, Bristol; joined Berrymans Lace Mawer 1998; partner 2000; senior partner of BLM’s Southampton office 2005.

Jointly headed by Andrew Hibbert and Joe Wakeford, the practice group has expertise in the areas of health and safety and construction.
