Position

Lee acts for a range of clients active in the real estate investment market, ranging from large institutions and companies to individual investors. He acts for both buyers and sellers and has particular expertise in acting for overseas-based real estate investors. Experience: acted for P&O Estates in connection with the disposal of retail, commercial, office and industrial premises from its portfolio over a number of years, including the sale of its former head office in Pall Mall, London; acted for The Stonegate Pub Company Limited in connection with its purchase of more than 500 public houses; acting for P&O Estates in respect of its Regent Quarter King‚Äôs Cross Development ‚Äď a large mixed-use scheme; acted for an overseas buyer on the purchase and funding of 120 Holborn, London (price ¬£180m).

Headed by Mark Smith, the team exhibits ‚Äėa unique sense of commercialism and overall cohesion‚Äô, which makes it the preferred firm of some clients for portfolio transactions, development projects and corporate occupancy requirements. Development highlights have included Lynn Povey¬†advising City of London Corporation on the land swap agreements and leasehold structures to facilitate the development of the Leadenhall Triangle, and Simon Ewing¬†assisting Salamanca with the purchase of a brownfield development site. Smith has also acted for Zenium Technology Partners in multiple data centre investment transactions, and Lee Medlock¬†handled a number of strategic portfolio deals for Stonegate Pub Company.
