Position

Graydon is the lead partner of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. He has particular expertise in contract disputes, negligence cases, regulatory matters, coronial inquests and commissions, and product liability. He acts on behalf of a number of national and overseas clients on large and complex commercial litigation matters and advises on all aspects of dispute resolution.

Career

Graydon was admitted to practise in New South Wales in 1992. Graydon commenced with Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) in the Sydney office in 1993. He was made a partner at Blake Dawson (now Ashurst) in July 2002. Graydon moved to the Melbourne office of Blake Dawson Waldron in January 2005 to head up the firm’s Melbourne Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. He remained in that position prior to joining Hall & Wilcox as a partner in 2012. Graydon has been recognised in the Best Lawyer in Australia peer review in product liability litigation and as a Leading Lawyer in Chambers Asia Pacific, 2015 in dispute resolution.

As well as handling commercial litigation and contractual disputes, Hall & Wilcox's ‘brilliant, knowledgeable and very thorough’ team has experience in class actions and insolvency litigation. ‘Sensible and pragmatic’ group head Graydon Dowd is representing the non-executive directors of Banksia Securities in shareholder proceedings filed on behalf of debenture holders.
