Jade Rowarth is a Partner with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, based in our Melbourne Litigation practice.

Jade has significant experience in the areas of Restructuring and Insolvency, Banking and Finance, M&A and Litigation.

Based in London during, and in the aftermath of, the global financial crisis, Jade worked on some of the largest European restructurings including Stahl, Schefenacker, McCarthy & Stone and JVH Gaming.  Since returning to Melbourne, Jade has worked on a full range of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters across a variety of industries including agribusiness, retail, hospitality/gaming, manufacturing and resources.  

Jade regularly acts for stakeholders across a broad spectrum including domestic financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, corporates, directors, private equity funds, special situation credit funds and suppliers. Jade also has experience in acting for litigants in the Supreme and Federal Courts on matters under the Corporations Act 2001.

Building on the substantial recruitment it saw in 2017, Corrs Chambers Westgarth has notable breadth in restructuring and insolvency with considerable strength advising on restructurings in the mining and logistics transport sectors. Cameron Cheetham heads up the department and acted for Rogers Reidy as voluntary administrators of eChoice, Ben Emblin advised McGrathNicol on the liquidation of Babcock & Brown group's assets, and Michael Catchpoole represented HLB Mann Judd in its role as liquidators of Bruck Textile Technologies in litigation relating to an allegedly unlawful restructuring.
