Career
Darren has over 20 years experience in dealing with the full range of issues in the Energy and Resources industries. He is one of the co-heads of Clayton Utz's national Energy and Resources Practice Group and is the National Leader of the China Practice Group. Darren's practice focuses upon the development of mining, oil and gas and industrial and commercial projects, as well as native title law. Darren has gained extensive experience in project development and the sale and purchase of mining oil and gas, infrastructure and electricity projects in Australia, South East Asia and the South Pacific. Darren has advised clients operating in the coal, precious metal, base metal, gas and electricity industries on these issues, as well as on the development of joint venture and alternative structures for development of resources and infrastructure projects. Darren is particularly experienced in matters intended to bring about negotiated solutions which provide for the long-term facilitation of projects.
