Position

Graham is head of the public sector team at Shoosmiths and partner in the real estate team, specialising in development, urban regeneration and its related public procurement environmental and financing issues. His experience includes: acting for public authorities, developers and financiers. Graham has considerable knowledge of the legal structures and associated requirements of Regional Development Agencies, having acted for SEEDA for the past ten years. He has a specialism in marine related property and acted for Dean & Reddyhoff in putting together the legal structures required for the delivery of the Olympic Marina at Portland, near Weymouth. Graham’s recent projects include the acquisition of the North Works site from GKN Aerospace Services at East Cowes, Isle of Wight; Rochester Riverside in the Thames Gateway; the redevelopment of the Interface Land at Chatham Maritime; the redevelopment of the Johnson & Johnson Site; and the purchase and sale of Husbands Shipyard, Southampton. He also advised Heinz UK on the property and financing issues relating to the development of their 350,000sq ft National Distribution Centre at Wigan (the largest high bay, automated warehouse in Europe), financed by the first use in the UK of synthetic lease.
