Position

Tang Ai Leen is the head of the Corporate Real Estate practice group and has been in practice for more than seventeen years.

She specialises in real property related transactions including land developments (commercial, residential and mixed property developments), various types of property conveyancing and property financing matters. Ai Leen has advised and represented clients from individuals to various corporations including banks, developers, statutory corporations, real estate investment trusts and local and foreign real estate funds. She has advised on joint venture for land development, the acquisition and disposal (whether direct or indirect) of various types of real properties, sale and lease-back arrangement, commercial leasing, property management and land related issues and the types of properties includes both landed as well as strata title properties, residential and commercial lands, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels and various types of lands in Malaysia.

Ai Leen also has wide experience in handling various types of property related financing transaction (project financing as well as end financing for developer project or otherwise for numerous banks) including conventional loans transaction taken by individual as well as the business or commercial loans taken by corporate bodies.

English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and other local Chinese dialects

Education

Ai Leen graduated from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom and subsequently admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1998.
