The firm: Wong Tan & Molly Lim LLC was established by a group of lawyers who, up to December 1986, were senior associates with a major international law firm. The firm is in a Formal Law Alliance with international law firm Watson Farley & Williams LLP.  The firm offers comprehensive legal services to clients with international business interests, but focuses on capital markets and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and general commercial and corporate law. The firm is recognised by major international journals and publications to be amongst the leading firm in its chosen areas of practice. The firm’s directors are also recognised as leading practitioners in their respective fields.

The firm works frequently on referrals from international law firms as well as directly with multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies, particularly on international transactions with an Asian involvement. Areas of practice
Capital markets and corporate finance: WTL advises clients on regulatory and other legal issues pertaining to securities, funds, REITs and derivatives. The firm has been involved in the primary and secondary listings of companies on the Singapore Exchange (Main Board and Catalist), secondary listings of companies on the Australian Stock Exchange and Taiwan Stock Exchange, reverse take-overs, take-overs of Singapore public listed companies. The firm also assist in secondary fund raising activities such as rights issues and placements, including the issuance of structured securities such as warrants, options, bonds and perpetual securities. banking and finance.

Mergers and acquisitions: The firm’s transactions in this area range from small private acquisitions to cross-border take-overs of listed companies.

Banking and finance: The firm covers all areas of banking and finance, including secured and syndicated loan transactions and guarantees, structured finance and project finance. The firm has acted for many international banks in drafting and advising on standard form documentation for general banking transactions.

Corporate: The firm advises on all aspects of general corporate law, including the drafting of contracts, the provision of corporate governance, compliance and corporate secretarial services, advice on regulatory issues and provides local representation services for many foreign and multinational companies.
