Sung Gwan Chun is an attorney in the firm's Corporate Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice.

Before joining Kim & Chang in 2011, Mr. Chun served as a public prosecutor for 27 years. In that capacity, he developed expertise in a wide range of criminal law matters, especially in Public Security and Planning, National Security, Class Action and Labor.

Mr. Chun began his distinguished career as a prosecutor in 1985 at the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office. He served as a prosecutor at the Ministry of Justice and Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. He was also a research officer of Supreme Prosecutors’ Office in 1996. Between 1996 and 2002, he served as the Director of the Public Security Department of the Supreme Prosecutors’ office and Seoul District Prosecutors’ Office and was also the Public Security Planning Officer of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office.

Subsequently, Mr. Chun served as the Chief Prosecutor of Ulsan, Seoul Southern and Suwon District Prosecutors’ Offices from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, he worked at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office acting as the Chief Prosecutor.
