Vincent’s practice focuses on banking, employment and shareholder disputes as well as investigations. He has substantial experience in acting for banking & financial institutions, investors (institutional as well as individuals), major corporates, and regulators on complex contentious matters. He also regularly advises clients on regulatory and risk management issues.

Called to the Singapore Bar in 2005.  




Vincent serves as an independent director on the boards of Advancer Global Limited and Heartware Network, and he sits on the Board of Governors of Hometeam NS. He is an adjunct faculty member of the School of Law of the Singapore Management University (since 2011), the faculty of the Singapore Institute of Directors (since 2015) and the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (since 2004). He was previously an adjunct faculty member of the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore (2004–2013).


Graduated from the National University of Singapore with an LLB (Hons) and Harvard Law School with an LLM.

At Allen & Gledhill LLP, Dr Stanley Lai, SC ('a good strategist and IP litigator') is now the firm's sole Senior Counsel litigator following the departures of Ang Cheng Hock SC to the bench and Edwin Tong SC, who became Senior Minister of State for Law and Health. Despite these departures, the firm maintains a high market share of big-ticket Singapore disputes. Lai recently led the team that represented Credit Suisse Trust in a headline dispute concerning a trust set up by Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Georgian billionaire and former Prime Minister of Georgia. Allen & Gledhill LLP's team handles the gamut of employment and industrial relations matters especially those pertaining to cross-border and dual-employment arrangements and employee transfers and also has strength in areas such as pension schemes and employment disputes - particularly those involving senior employees. In recent work, it acted for Grab Inc, as it acquired the operations of Uber Technologies, on the transfer of the employees in Singapore and numerous other Asian jurisdictions. The team also advised on various complex, cross-border and Singapore law employment issues in connection with the merger of Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Management. On the disputes side, it acted for Brightex Paints in a case concerning the theft of valuable industrial, confidential information by an employee. Kelvin Wong and Sanjiv Kumar Rajan jointly head the team; litigator Aaron Lee is recommended for his 'responsiveness and great industrial knowledge'; and Vincent Leow is another name to note.
