Position
Partner specialising in the renewables, commercial and residential property sectors. Barry has acted for landowners and property developers (both in private and public sector), funders, investors and tenants on most types of property deals. Barry has also experienced client side after working as land director for house builder and property developer, Manorlane Limited, having responsibility for land identification and purchase, funding and JV work. He is working on a number of major windfarm developments throughout Scotland, for Banks Renewables Limited, and played a key role in two market leading securitisations (for in excess of 1.5b) for a major supermarket operator. Barry also played a key role in the team advising on the acquisition of the former Mathiesons Bakeries’ business from the administrators and since acquisition has secured over 25 outlets for the business by a combination of purchases and lease deals.
