Position
Partner and head of SJ Berwin's commerce and technology group, specialising in (i) commercial agreements, including supply, agency, distribution, outsourcing, franchising and co-operation and joint venture agreements (experience extends not only to the UK, but also internationally, particularly the EU); and (ii) involved in all facets of commercial exploitation of intellectual property rights (including e-commerce, licensing, R&D agreements, clinical studies and technology transfer agreements). Wide range of clients in industries covering advertising; hotels and leisure; pharmaceuticals and healthcare; food and drink; manufacture and distribution; betting and gaming; e-commerce; IT and franchising.
Career
Qualified 1986 with Simmons & Simmons; Clifford 1988-93; partner SJ Berwin 1994 to date; frequent lecturer at conferences in the UK and internationally; recognised as an expert in intellectual property by 'Legal Experts'; as one of the world's leading healthcare lawyers by both European Counsel and Global Counsel; recommended in 'The Legal 500' for IP, and by PLC.
