Position

Mr Dass has built up a wealth expertise in the field of insolvency and commercial litigation over the past 19 years. He has a reputation of successfully handling complex cases. He has successfully conducted a number of reported cases over the years which are now cited as legal authorities. Two of these cases, involving complex VAT issues have been ruled upon by the European Court of Justice. His expertise has also resulted in numerous instructions to act in cross border disputes, in high value international litigation cases, and has seen him head up substantial freezing injunctions both here and overseas. Mr Dass has been shortlisted in 2010 and 2011 for the International ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for the Birmingham Law Society Awards. The firm has also been shortlisted for ‘Law Firm of the Year’ (under four partners). Mr Dass’ international reputation continues to grow as he has been appointed as general counsel for a scientific technology company that has recently been awarded a 100m euro contract by a Fortune 500 multinational. He has also been appointed by two different companies for AIM listings. He is currently leading the UK’s numerous litigation cases relating to the failed FCIB bank in Curacao in the Caribbean. He is highly regarded for his commercial and practical approach and his experience is utilised by departments right across the firm from property disputes to corporate buyouts. He regularly lectures on various subjects such as insolvency, VAT and fraud, and contributes to magazines and leading newspapers.
