Contentious trust and probate.
Position
Deals with probate and trust disputes including challenges to wills on the basis of incapacity, undue influence or failing to deal with execution formalities; rectification and construction claims pertaining to the wording in a will; claims pursuant to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975; claims involving the Court of Protection, applications involving the removal of executors or the administration of an estate or trust. Acted for the interested party in the matter of Re P [2009], the first application for a statutory will to be dealt with by a Judge sitting as a judge of the Court of Protection since the Mental Capacity Act 2005 came into force.
