Position
Partner. Experienced and wide-ranging commercial property specialist, Simon is regularly engaged in advising a range of large UK companies on the acquisition, disposal, letting and funding of commercial property. His caseload also includes substantial work in the areas of industrial land acquisition, development and disposal, portfolio management and the relocation of ‘going concern’ businesses. Also carries out work for a number of major banks and other financial and investment institutions and clients in their funding of commercial property development and investment and for both UK and Off-Shore companies. Simon is also recognised as having substantial experience in the areas of Waste Disposal and Waste- to- Energy business, having acted for many years (and continuing to act) for Viridor Waste Management Limited, one of the UK’s leading market specialists in this area.
Career
Qualified in 1986, principally trained with Edwards Geldard Solicitors in Cardiff which he joined in 1987 and where he was a senior associate for nearly 12 years. Moved to Dolmans Solicitors in 2000 to develop the commercial property work in that practice, and then moved his team into Thomas Simon Solicitors in 2007.
