Position
Finance partner and head of the litigation department and Prince Evans’ social housing teams, including one of the largest dedicated landlord and tenant litigation functions in London; strong reputation for conducting all types of commercial litigation and arbitration; considerable experience in the conduct of complicated contentious property work – Robert has advised the National Housing Federation and its members nationwide on high-profile issues and has successfully undertaken high-profile Judicial Reviews, together with a number of Court of Appeal and House of Lords cases – SBHA v Porter; expertise in all types of contentious (including adjudication) and non-contentious construction work, with particular specialism in various JCT build contracts and the PPC2000. Robert provides employment advice, including the drafting and negotiation of employer/employee documentation, the transfer of undertakings and conducts matters before the Employment Tribunal such as sex/race/disability discrimination. Robert recently defended the Foreign Office and a plc health provider against a multi-employee claim (in excess of £1m), as to the applicability of TUPE to the award of a second generation public sector contract. The case was heard for 21 days and was one of the largest of its type before the Employment Tribunal.
