Position

Stephen is Head of Dispute Resolution and Head of the Contentious Trusts & Estates Team.  He specialises in commercial litigation and contentious trusts and probate disputes. His practice has a significant international element including acting for overseas trustees in connection with both UK and international litigation. Stephen has particular expertise in relation to the interaction between trust disputes and disputes involving companies which form part of trust structures acting for Protectors and in relation to claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975.  His practice also embraces financial services disputes including fraud in the financial sector. He also advises on shareholder and partnership disputes.
