Position
Partner and head of environment team. Keith is an Environment Commissioner for Greater Manchester and is the Lead Commissioner for the Low Carbon Economic Area for the Built Environment. He advises on all aspects of environmental and health and safety law, with particular expertise on climate change, contaminated land, asbestos and waste issues. He is recognised as one of the UK leaders for Part 2A contaminated land proceedings and has been involved in landmark regeneration and environmental insurance projects. Clients include BASF, Chevron, Groundwork, Manchester City Council and DB Schenker.
Career
Dual qualified in Northern Ireland and England and Wales. Keith started his career at Nabarros in London and obtained a masters’ degree in environmental law from SOAS, University of London. After spending five years at Eversheds in Manchester, he became a council member for the UK Environmental Law Association and a partner at Cobbetts in 2002. He joined Pannone in 2007 to head the environment team and advises other law firms, including Druces in London on a consultancy basis. He is a regular key industry speaker on climate change issues and environmental liability transfer in property transactions. He lectures for BPP nationally on environmental law and the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.
