Dispute resolution.
Position
Head of the dispute resolution department and specialises in resolving disputes arising from the running, buying or selling of businesses including: breach of warranty claims, shareholder disputes, Companies Act petitions and breach of confidence claims. Injunctive relief applications form a significant part of Paul’s practice. Paul is also experienced in intellectual property disputes, commercial fraud, defamation and privacy claims, whilst professional negligence and partnership disputes also form a significant part of Paul’s practice area. Paul has a growing arbitration practice.
Career
Trained in Manchester before joining regional firms Osborne Clarke and Pinsent Curtis (now Pinsent Masons); head of litigation department Robert Muckle (now Muckle LLP), Newcastle; returned to Manchester and joined Pannone as partner 2004. Paul became head of department in 2010. In 2011, Paul will begin sitting as a deputy district judge on the Northern Circuit. Paul won the national mediation champion of the year award from CE in November 2010 for his contribution to settling disputes by mediation.
