Position
Senior partner and head of corporate services. Throughout his career he has been involved in a wide range of corporate and commercial work for a diverse client base including private and public companies, multinationals and public authorities. The majority of his corporate work has been for private companies including acquisitions and disposals, MBOs, equity investments and joint ventures. He has worked extensively on for corporate and commercial projects in the public sector, particularly in transport, where he has been involved in a number of major transactions. Steven’s experience includes: lead partner on the statutory division and subsequent privatisation of Greater Manchester Buses; part of the team advising on the granting of the concession for all phases of Greater Manchester’s Metrolink light rail system; lead partner on the acquisition of East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside Airports for Manchester Airport Plc; acting for subsidiaries of Rentokil Initial Plc in respect of corporate transactions including the disposal of its Seal Sands facility to Ineos; acting for BASF Plc in relation to various corporate and commercial transactions; part of the team acting for Newell Corporation in relation to its acquisition of Corning’s European business; acting for various local authorities in relation to the outsourcing of functions including leisure activities and residential care.
