Position

Joseph Tirado is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London and is the head of the firm’s international arbitration practice. Joseph specialises in international arbitration and has been involved in a wide variety of contested matters in the UK and other countries. He has advised extensively on domestic and international arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and has experience sitting as an arbitrator and mediator. He has handled high-value matters in a wide range of industry sectors including oil & gas, technology, petrochemical, construction, engineering, manufacturing, distribution, investment, power generation, telecommunications, banking, mining, food services, legal, and accounting. Joseph is fluent in Spanish and is recognised as a ranked individual for international arbitration in ‘Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession’, 2007 and 2008, and ‘Chambers Global The World’s Leading Lawyers’, 2007, where he is described as having ‘an excellent grasp of clients’ needs’ and praised as ‘thoroughly solid performer’ He is also mentioned in UK Legal 500 2007/2008.

Career

Joseph joined the London practice in 2007 having previously been a partner in the London office of a leading US based law firm. Joseph is a solicitor-advocate (Higher Courts Civil) and CEDR accredited mediator. Joseph has written and presented extensively on international arbitration and ADR.
