Position
Experienced in dealing with anti-social behaviour and disrepair; also takes a special interest in leasehold issues, empty dwellings and cases involving fraud, including sub-letting and right to buy. She also enjoys policy work and drafting tenancy documentation. Mary is well-known as a trainer, for developing courses and working intensively with clients, and for providing seminars for external bodies. She currently gives regular legal update seminars on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Housing’s London branch.

Trained Dakers Seymour & Co, Brighton; qualified 1989; Thomas Eggar & Co; supervising solicitor Brighton Housing Trust’s Eastbourne Housing Aid and Legal Centre; strategic housing lawyer then council’s principal housing lawyer in the borough solicitor’s team at Southwark Council; Marsons Solicitors 2003, partner 2004; partner Batchelors 2010 to date.
