Litigation

Position

Edward is a partner in the litigation department. He has a broad background in commercial and financial disputes, and cases involving professional negligence.

He has extensive experience of group and multi-party litigation on behalf of substantial groups of claimants: he was involved in litigation against Capita Financial Managers Limited on behalf of two thousand investors in the Arch cru funds and he assists in the ongoing and widely publicised claim brought by 6,000 Lloyds Bank shareholders in connection with losses they suffered when the bank acquired HBOS in 2009.

Edward acts for investors and for financial advisers bringing or defending claims in relation to the mis-selling of investments (particularly with a taxation angle) and in complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service and Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

He also has experience in reputation management having acted on a number of privacy, defamation and harassment cases.

Career

Edward joined Harcus Sinclair as a trainee solicitor in 2009 and qualified in 2011.  He was made an associate of the firm in 2014 and a partner in 2017.
