Partner. Specializes in real estate, land law, corporate and commercial law; an expert on legal aspects in commodity trade, agricultural production and trade, maritime shipping and transport (including deals on stevedoring companies). Has successful practice in commercial litigation.
Career
Maxim Oleksiyuk started his professional career in the first private notary office in Kharkiv specializing in real estate transactions. During 1996-1997 he worked as the consultant of the Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance and Banking, which Committee has elaborated on more than a half of legislation passing the Parliament including the basic tax legislation that was adopted in 1997. Prior to joining KM Partners he worked in Arthur Andersen's Kyiv office. Mr. Oleksiyuk is the author of many legal commentaries for mass media.
