Led by principal associate Simon Warburton, the team at Mills & Reeve LLP is especially active on the corporate side, though it also assists clients with IT and GDPR issues. Transactions and regulatory corporate work have kept the practice busy: Tom Pickthorn advised Finnish investment service group Privanet on equity crowdfunding regulations in the UK. Stephen Hamilton acted for Bango on its £9m purchase of Audiens, and assisted Paypoint with its purchase of Romanian company Payzone. On the fundraising side, Zickie Lim advised TAB UK on a £1.2m investment led by Mustard Seed Capital. Mark Pearce advised Premia Solutions on the GDPR implications of its insurance products, and Peter Wainman acted for commodity-trading software company Brady on contractual issues. Other clients include Validus and IQ Capital Partners.
