Position

Jens advises private and public sector clients on projects (including PFI and PPP) and commercial agreements in a wide range of sectors including student accommodation, defence, energy, detention and health. He also regularly advise clients in relation to operational projects on issues such as performance deductions. He is part of the firms Australasia panel and completed a secondment to Australian law firm (and fellow SCG member) Hall & Wilcox in 2016. Jens has previously been seconded to Aviva Public Private Finance.  Client feedback includes: “Jens provides excellent insight into complex legal matters and creative solutions to barriers to progress. His understanding of the politics of public sector deals, coupled with his expert advice make him an asset on any project”.

Mills & Reeve LLP 's infrastructure team impresses clients with its 'response times, business acumen and industry knowledge' and recently welcomed Adrian Luto and Justin Hennessey to its London branch through the firm's merger with Maxwell Winward. The firm holds a strong expertise in the student accommodation field but Andrew Ray and Alasdair Poore recently also acted for the MoD in the designing of an open communications system and the rolling out of procurements to deliver it as part of Project Morpheus from the Cambridge office. Also based in Cambridge is practice head Raith Pickup who 'is exceptional in this field' and assisted clients a number of universities on separate DBFO projects for student accommodation with the support of principal associate Jens Henniker Heaton . Clients in the healthcare sector also engaged Julie Marshall , David Stead and Bridget Archibald .
