Maric & Co Law Firm was established in 1959. The firm developed strongly after Bosnia-Herzegovina opened to foreign investments and foreign capital. Areas of practice

Banking: almost all banks and micro credit organisations in Bosnia-Herzegovina have been clients of the firm. The firm has performed acquisitions and reorganisation work, as well as various bank operations, project finance, investment consulting, and matters with their ongoing business activities.

Corporate/M&A: the firm has vast experience in the incorporation of companies, organisation, acquisition, sales, mergers, restructuring, corporate governance and corporate litigation. During the privatisation process, the firm actively participated in the acquisition of a larger number of banks and other significant companies in Bosnia-Herzegovina, gaining the expertise to perform sophisticated M&A projects.

Capital markets: the firm acted in sale and acquisitions of various joint stock companies, after the stock market opened for transactions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and now has a large experience in trade with different types of securities.

Environment: the firm is proud to be one of the first firms in Bosnia-Herzegovina to offer relevant advice regarding environmental protection in compliance with EU standards and regulations.

Energy and utilities: the firm has strong credentials in the field of energy and has been hired by the EU as a local consultant in the implementation of laws establishing production, transfer and distribution of electric energy. It has significant experience in legal matters related to constructing, commissioning and operating small hydroelectric power plants, and has been involved in projects to develop wind energy power plants, in various legal aspects of oil exploration and distribution to major oil clients.
