Position
Julia is a partner in the projects and construction group and specialises in all types of non-contentious construction law, including PFI and PPP projects, advising and negotiating on PFI concession contracts, for both SPV, construction and operation in the healthcare, education, roads and water sectors. Key experience includes: New South General Hospital (acting for bidder on largest (£800m) D&B in Scotland, under competitive dialogue); Tayside Mental Health Developments (acting for contractor on multi-site health PFI under competitive dialogue); M74 Completion (advising sole bidder on motorway extension); A92 Upgrading PFI (advised SPV on East Coast roads upgrading PFI); Waterford Bypass PPP (advising bidding consortium on first Roads PPP in Ireland); Fermoy Bypass PPP (advised bidding consortium on major roads PPP in Ireland); Orkney Wave Test Centre (advising employer on procurement of a wave test centre in Orkney); St Andrews Hospital (advising the SPV on new community hospital); South Lanarkshire Schools (advised preferred bidder on complex bond-financed schools project in the West of Scotland); Beatson Oncology Centre (advising the public sector on the procurement of a prestigious cancer care centre to service the West of Scotland).
