Position
Patrick is a partner in the projects and construction group. He is a recognised specialist in PPP projects and has a strong industry and operational understanding of what it takes to deliver a project successfully. He acts for procuring authorities, financial institutions and contractors on major projects, including PPP. He has advised on waste management, health, transport, defence and education projects. A former chairman of the Law Society Banking Law Committee, he uses his project finance expertise to assist in structuring innovative financial arrangements to enable projects to be brought to market and completed. He was the first lawyer at the then Pinsent Co to undertake a PPP project (the Birmingham Waste Management contract) in 1994. Since then, he has been involved in numerous large and complex transactions. Clients commend him for his practical approach and his ability to help find solutions to problems, both legal and commercial. In the current difficult climate for public sector spending he is assisting clients to access the most suitable funding sources to facilitate public service provision.
