Position
Alan Aisbett is a partner and specialises in local government, housing and public sector and joint venture partnerships. He is particularly known for his cutting edge work in developing new concepts for central and local government. For example he made a significant contribution to developing PFI in social housing and worked with the Homes and Communities Agency in producing a toolkit for the formation of local housing companies. He is an expert in local government and housing finance having advised CLG and the HCA on these areas. He worked with 4ps (Local Partnerships) on the standardisation Guidance for Local Authority PFI contracts and on the involvement of local authorities in NHS LIFT. He was an executive member of the CLG’s Strategic Partnering Taskforce and he is currently contributing to the HM Treasury Guidance on Joint Ventures. He has also a wealth of transactional PPP experience particularly within the local government sector. He is currently focussing on the firm’s Structured Solutions for Government brand particularly on joint ventures and LABVs.
