Position
Nigel is head of the litigation and arbitration practice. He advises listed and institutional businesses in corporate contract and regulatory disputes. He is an accredited mediator, a court appointed supervisor in search and seize orders. Recent cases include: representing a UK plc in a foreign multi-million claim through six years of litigation, two mediations and ultimately discussions leading to settlement with the counter party on favourable terms; defence of UK plc accused by regulator of misleading announcements to market; defending Swiss client in and resolving international arbitration proceedings in Paris; defending an energy client in arbitration proceedings in Alberta, Canada, helping to settle the case prehearing. Nigel also acts as Pinsent Masons’ head of enterprise, driving change and efficiency in the way it carries out, manages and delivers its legal work.
