Position
Stuart advises on all aspects of property law (in particular cases involving landlord and tenant issues) but concentrates on resolving disputes and finding solutions to property related problems. He acts for Government departments, banks, property developers, property investment companies and corporate clients. During 2009 he was involved in a number of cases in the High Court, two appeals to the Court of Appeal and an appeal to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council concerning the system of land registration in Belize. He is currently advising a number of clients in connection with claims in negligence and fraud against property professionals. He is recommended by client guides as an expert in property litigation matters. He is a former chairman of the Property Litigation Association. He is also a member of the Dilapidations Forum and the Pyramus & Thisbe Club.
