Position

Mark is partner with over 20 years' experience in construction and engineering projects, with a particular emphasis on energy infrastructure. In recent years he has divided his time between working on cases in Asia (from our Hong Kong office) where he has handled a number of high-profile arbitrations for multinational contractors, and the Middle East where he has recently been heavily involved in advising on various DIAC and ICC arbitrations. Now based permanently in the UAE, he specialises in high level legal and strategic advice to clients involved in the power, oil and gas and construction/engineering sectors. He has considerable experience in managing teams in large-scale litigations. Mark is also a licensed advocate in the DIFC Courts.

At Pinsent Masons LLP, Mark Raymont represents Assas Opco in a dispute over its termination of Viceroy's contract to manage its hotel on the Palm Jumeirah, which has led to proceedings in the Dubai courts, the DIFC and the US. Damian Crosse handles billion-euro asset recovery litigation in the DIFC courts, among other matters.
