Position
Mark is head of the projects and construction group in the Leeds office. He has considerable experience of advising organisations involved in major infrastructure projects particularly in the building, transport, power, waste, oil and gas, water and civil and process engineering sectors. He has undertaken a variety of transactional, advisory and dispute management work. Mark has advised on issues surrounding the procurement strategy of major projects including areas of risk management and the negotiation of related contractual documentation. Increasingly, Mark’s practice involves consultancy advice, providing solutions and strategic planning in respect of ongoing and long-term projects typically PFI and PPP structured. He is particularly known for dispute avoidance, management and resolution. His experience of dispute resolution techniques ranges from mediation, expert determination and conciliation to adjudication, arbitration and High Court litigation. Mark is an accredited mediator and adjudicator. He is a visiting lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Society of Construction Law, the Forum for the Built Environment and TeCSA.
