Position
Stephen is a partner specialising in corporate, transactional and regulatory work in the Lloyd’s, London and international insurance markets. He has advised on numerous start-ups, reorganisations, acquisitions and disposals in the insurance sector. A leading practitioner in the Lloyd’s market, having had substantial involvement over recent years in the consolidation and alignment of the market’s capacity and in advising on transactions with commercial banks and reinsurers for the provision of funds at Lloyd’s to support underwriting businesses operating in the market. He has advised on a number of the recent private equity-backed start-ups and other transactions involving Lloyd’s businesses and on a wide variety of matters concerning the regulation and conduct of business of insurance intermediaries.
