Partner. Alex is an experienced lawyer who advises clients in the life sciences sector, primarily in relation to regulatory and IP matters. His legal advice is also informed by significant in-house experience including as General Counsel of a biopharmaceutical company. Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia in 1995, working in the IP Department at Freehill Hollingdale & Page until 1998; General Counsel and Company Secretary at Biotech Australia 1998 – 2001; General Counsel and Company Secretary at  Redfern Broadband Networks 2001-2003; Special Adviser to the Board at Silverbrook Research 2003 – 2004. Moved to the UK and joined Clifford Chance as a Senior Associate: 2005-2009. Founded Denoon Legal in 2009 building “an outstanding life sciences boutique” (Legal 500). Joined Marriott Harrison as a partner in April 2017

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
