Position

Professor Avvocato Astolfo Di Amato is the founder and senior partner of Astolfo Di Amato & Associati. His practice covers litigation, business law, white collar crime, arbitration and TMT, among other areas.

Career

Professor Di Amato began his career as a Judge (1965–1984); and was elected directly by his fellow magistrates to serve as a member of the Superior Council of the Magistry (1978–1982). Full Professor of Corporate and Business Law at the University of Naples (1985 -2013). Previously, he was a professor of Business Crime Law at L.U.I.S.S. University in Rome. Professor Di Amato served on both the Ministry of Justice’s Committee for the Reform of the Italian Law on Business Crimes (1991) and the Ministry’s Committee for the Reform of the Italian Law on Tax Crimes (1993). He was also a member of the Ministry of European Policies Committee on Culture. A prolific writer, Professor Di Amato has authored 26 books and over 200 articles on the topics of business law and criminal law. Professor Di Amato also serves as Director of Trattato di Diritto Penale dell’Impresa (‘Treatise on the Law on Business Crime’) and Director of the Law Reviews Diritto ed Economia dei Mezzi di Comunicazione and Diritto dell’Impresa.
