Position
Alex heads up Manches’ commercial litigation team with particular expertise within the areas of technology, IP and media and insolvency. He advises on a variety of significant commercial disputes, including professional negligence claims, financial services, insolvency, complex IT disputes, regulatory issues and substantial national, international and cross-border claims. Notable recent cases include the following: advising on the reported case of Jordan Grand Prix Ltd v Tiger Telematics Inc (acting on behalf of Tiger); advising Grant Thornton on the administration of Aquarius Limited, advising customs and excise on a major fraud case and advising on the effect of the collapse of the split capital at trust market and obtaining a freezing injunction; advising in the Diana Inquest. He is the BBC’s independent legal commentator for both radio and TV.
